Participate in a unique workshop sponsored by Rutgers Climate and Energy Institute and an NSF funded project called ARIS – Center for Advancing Research Impacts in Society.
March 21st
9:30 am – 2 pm
Cook Student Center
This workshop is all about developing a research impact mindset for Rutgers faculty and research staff. Although NSF’s Broader Impacts are not new, there is a renewed interest in figuring out how research can benefit society. Rutgers Climate and Energy Institute has partnered with ARIS to develop an engaging and informative program.
We plan to engage in lively discussion and hands-on practice to not only explore the nuts and bolts of building a better and more competitive Broader Impact statement for your next NSF proposal but perhaps even more importantly, think about what we can do to make the world a bit better with the wealth of resources and knowledge base of the Climate and Energy Institute’s amazing members.
The best part will be that we have assembled a wealth of partner resources from within Rutgers to collaborate with our faculty. Representatives from the Mathematics Science Learning Center, Vorhees Transportation Center, Center for Mathematics, Computer science Education, Rutgers Cooperative Extension 4-H program, Command Control and Interoperability Center for Advanced Data Analytics (CCICADA), and the Heldrich Center for Workforce Development will be in attendance just to name a few, as potential BI partners in your next NSF proposal.
More information can be found on the attached Flyer. We are asking folks to register by March 17th.
