N.J. to double coronavirus testing in coming weeks as Murphy plots reopening of state.

New Jersey governor Murphy also announced the state is allocating $6 million in federal funding to Rutgers University to boost its ability to produce its rapid saliva tests from 10,000 tests a day to 50,000 tests a day within the next six to eight weeks. Expanding testing and contact tracing are steps 2 and 3 in the broad six-point recovery plan Murphy laid out last month.
