Dr. Qiana Brown, Assistant Professor at the School of Social Work and School of Public Health, received a travel stipend award to attend the March 2nd CTSA Un-Meeting on Lifespan and Life Course Research. This meeting is intended to advance translational research from early life to old age and across generations in diverse populations.

Dr. Brown was nominated for this award by Dr. Sally Radovick, RWJMS Pediatrics Professor and Senior Associate Dean for Clinical and Translational Research. Each CTSA hub is allowed one nominee. Dr. Brown was chosen as the hub’s nominee for her dedication to research in the area of  system-level change to improve maternal and child health – centering on preventing prenatal substance use and examining the role of the built and social environment and health and social policy in shaping substance use and other health outcomes among women, youth and families.
