II Feasibility

A feasibility analysis is performed to evaluate the possibility of conducting a particular clinical research project with the overall objective of optimum project completion in terms of timelines, targets and cost.

For industry trials, delays in research have significant time and cost implications and negatively impact Rutgers competitiveness for participation in future clinical trials. The potential for delays can be decreased or mitigated through comprehensive feasibility planning.

Factors considered in a feasibility analysis include patient population to determine capacity and speed of enrollment, possible confounding factors in patient recruitment, investigator experience in conducting similar trials, and availability of qualified study personnel.

The Clinical Research Units at RWJMS and NJMS can assist you with a feasibility analysis for your human subject research project.
