NJ Medical School Seminar-Anti-HIV regimen: the need for personalized medicine. Genetic variation is the hallmark of HIV virus. With the discovery of just reported subtype L there are ten HIV-1 subtypes (A- D,F-H and J-L) and more than 100 circulating recombinant forms.
