Dr. Tsung-Po Lai is the director of the laboratory of the Center of Human Development and Aging at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Lai received his PhD in molecular genetics from the Ohio State University with a pre-doctoral fellowship from the American Heart Association. Thereafter, he completed his postdoctoral research in the development of new techniques for telomere length measurements at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center supported by the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas postdoctoral fellowship. Dr. Lai’s recent work has focused on telomere length dynamics in the reconstitution of the hematopoietic system in recipients of allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplant.
