SUMMARY:2021 RUCARES Autism Conference Call for Oral and Poster Abstract Submissions DEADLINE EXTENDED
DESCRIPTION:***Submission Deadline Extended to Friday\, September 3\, 2021*** \n2021 RUCARES Autism Conference Call for Oral and Poster Abstract Submissions \nThe Rutgers University Center for Autism Research\, Education\, and Services (RUCARES)\, a new center of the Brain Health Institute\, invites Rutgers investigators and clinicians to submit abstracts of their research or clinical innovations for consideration as oral or poster presentations at our first annual symposium\, which will be held at the Rutgers University Inn and Conference Center (178 Ryders Lane; New Brunswick\, NJ 08901) on Thursday\, October 28\, 2021. Currently\, we anticipate a fully in-person conference\, subject to current university guidelines. However\, we will switch to a virtual meeting if conditions and guidelines require such a change. \nOne major goal of the symposium is to bring together autism researchers\, research trainees\, educators\, and clinicians from across Rutgers campuses\, colleges\, units\, and departments to share information on their research and clinical programs in the hope of stimulating future collaboration\, coordination\, and integration. The event will feature selected brief oral presentations\, poster sessions\, and a mid-day plenary presentation by a nationally recognized autism investigator. As such\, we encourage you and your students to submit abstracts that provide an overview or representative sample of your work. \nSubmissions should include the following: \nTitle:\n Preferred presentation format: Oral or poster presentation (format cannot be guaranteed). Please let us know if you want your abstract to be considered for a poster if you are not selected for an oral presentation.\nAuthors’ names and email addresses: with the presenting author listed in bold.\nAbstract:  Abstracts should: (a) be limited to 350 words; (b) begin with a sentence stating why the topic is important; (c) then briefly describe the study design\, methods\, and results; and (d) end with the general conclusion\, relevance\, or potential impact. \nPlease send the above information by Friday\, September 3\, 2021 to rucares@bhi.rutgers.edu.
